Vacuum the Ocean floor for gold?


If Gold arrived on earth via ancient meteor showers and 71% of the earth is covered in water, it is safe to assume that most gold will be found underwater.

The fact that world wide gold prospecting is done on land is just due to convenience. If a method of vacuuming the ocean floor became practical, a lot more gold could be discovered.

Traditional sluicebox designs have dirt and rocks lifted to the top or back of the box with an excavator or hand shovel.  This uses much energy to lift rocks and use water pumped to the headerbox to push rocks and earth over a metal grill and carpet to collect gold slivers.
